ROTARY - THE FLYING MACHINE ON THE ROAD
INTEGRATING INNOVATIVE CONCEPT OF HELICOPTER ROTOR BLADES INTO FRAME DESIGN
After winning the 2012 IF Design Award with Shadow road frame, Keith Bike International has been busy researching and developing an innovative new frame using T-800 HM carbon fiber, by integrating helicopter rotor blade design concept.
By changing the frame down tube shape from 60 degree angle to 120 degree bilaterally towards the head tube, it creates multitude of air drag variation, reduce air drag on rider’s legs, and consequently increases riding speed.
INNOVATIVE R&D CREATES KILLER FRAME ON ROAD
KEITH BIKE Chief Designer Keith incorporates the idea of rotor blade shape into his design from seeing a 3D RC Helicopter at TSA Model. It’s an extremely difficult yet ground breaking concept. It took months of research and experiments to finally fuse the concept into making the road frame. The end result is Rotary, a flying machine on road, which is the iconic 2014 product of KEITHBIKE.
2014 Rotary frame employs automotive high gloss and mirror coatings used on most supercars via pin stripe and gradient coating method, which are handcrafted 100% by Keith. It is extremely difficult, unique and time consuming.
STANDARD COATING
Pin stripe and gradient coating, difficult, but demonstrates the fine weaving details of T-800 HM carbon fiber. High gloss and mirror finish highlights the value of the frame.
