*NEW* Elves Eglath ARX All-Road Carbon Disc Frameset

  • $1,750.00

The Elves Eglath ARX is an all-road carbon disc frameset for cyclists who want one fast, comfortable bike for everyday road riding, long climbs, bunch rides, endurance events and occasional light gravel.

Its endurance-inspired geometry uses a shorter reach and taller stack to create a more comfortable riding position than a pure aero race frame, without losing the responsive handling and efficient power transfer expected from a high-performance road bike.

Built from Japanese Toray T800 and T1000 carbon fibre, the Eglath ARX combines semi-aero tube profiles, clearance for tyres up to 700 x 32C, a threaded T47 bottom bracket and a modern UDH derailleur hanger. The result is a versatile road frameset made for real-world roads and long days in the saddle.

Custom build option

Want this frameset built into a complete bike?

We can build the Eglath ARX into a complete custom bike with wheels, handlebars, drivetrain, tyres and finishing kit selected to suit how and where you ride.

Frames are painted from raw, so custom builds usually take around 5–8 weeks, depending on paint timing and parts availability.

Why choose the Elves Eglath ARX?

The Eglath ARX is designed for riders who want more comfort and versatility than a pure race bike, but still want a road bike that feels quick, sharp and rewarding.

The semi-aero frame helps reduce drag on faster rides, while the endurance geometry creates a more stable and forgiving position for longer distances. Wider tyre clearance also gives you more freedom to choose comfortable road tyres or take on well-maintained light-gravel sections.

Key features

  • All-road carbon disc frameset — designed for road riding, endurance events and occasional light gravel.
  • Toray T800 and T1000 carbon fibre — balances frame stiffness, compliance and weight.
  • Endurance-inspired geometry — a shorter reach and taller stack support a more comfortable position on longer rides.
  • Semi-aero tube profiles — shaped to reduce drag without turning the ARX into an aggressive pure-aero race frame.
  • Tyre clearance up to 700 x 32C — suitable for modern road tyres and smooth, light-gravel surfaces.
  • T47 threaded bottom bracket — a robust, serviceable system with options for Shimano, SRAM DUB and ROTOR cranksets.
  • UDH derailleur hanger — uses the modern Universal Derailleur Hanger standard.
  • Flat-mount disc brakes — supports rotors up to 160mm for confident braking in varied New Zealand conditions.
  • Broad drivetrain compatibility — supports 1x or 2x setups, modern 11- and 12-speed mechanical groupsets, and compatible 11-, 12- and 13-speed electronic groupsets.
  • Fully internal cable routing — creates a clean, aerodynamic build with compatible integrated or traditional cockpit options.
  • Custom paint available — choose a standard colour or ask us about creating something more individual.

Is the Eglath ARX a road bike or a gravel bike?

The Eglath ARX is primarily an all-road and endurance road frameset. It is built for sealed roads, rough chipseal and occasional smooth gravel rather than technical or loose gravel riding.

Its 32C maximum tyre clearance gives it more comfort and mixed-surface ability than a traditional race frame. Cyclists planning regular gravel rides or wanting substantially wider tyres should consider a dedicated gravel frameset instead.

Who is this frameset for?

Choose the Eglath ARX if you want one carbon road bike that can cover fast training rides, bunch rides, long weekend kilometres, climbing, endurance events and occasional detours onto light gravel.

It is particularly well suited to riders who value speed but do not want the low, aggressive position of a pure aero race bike. It also makes sense for cyclists who want wider road tyres and more confidence on rougher surfaces without moving to a full gravel bike.
