Favero Assioma PRO RL (Look® Keo Compatible) Power Meter Pedals
Look Keo-compatible road power meter pedals in single-sided (RL-1) or dual-sided (RL-2) versions.
If you want reliable power data without changing cranksets, the Favero Assioma PRO RL is one of the simplest ways to add power to a road bike. It gives you a proper Look Keo-compatible road pedal, long battery life, modern connectivity, and the choice of either a lower-cost single-sided setup or full dual-sided measurement.
Who this is best for
The Assioma PRO RL suits riders who want:
- pedal-based power measurement for training, pacing, and tracking progress
- a road pedal that is 100% compatible with Look Keo cleats
- easy installation across bikes without swapping crank-based systems
- rechargeable pedals with long battery life
- the option to start with RL-1 and upgrade later, or go straight to RL-2 for true left/right power data

What’s in the box?
RL-1 includes:
- left pedal with power meter, right pedal without power meter, Favero Look Keo 5° cleats, 1 magnetic connector, two-way charging cable, greasing tools kit, warranty and safety manual, welcome flyer, plus cleat washers, screws, and washers.
RL-2 includes:
- left and right power meter pedals, Favero Look Keo 5° cleats, 2 magnetic connectors, two-way charging cable, greasing tools kit, warranty and safety manual, welcome flyer, plus cleat washers, screws, and washers.
Trev’s take
For most riders doing structured training, RL-1 will do the job. If you care about left/right balance, detailed data, or you just want the full setup from day one, get RL-2 and be done with it.
Both use the same pedal platform, both are Look Keo-compatible, and both keep things simpler than messing around with crank-based power meters. The real decision is just whether you want single-sided or dual-sided data.
Compatibility guidance
These pedals are for road bikes and riders using the Look Keo cleat standard. If you already ride Look Keo, this is the straightforward choice. If you ride Shimano SPD-SL shoes/cleats instead, the Favero Assioma PRO RS is the more natural fit.
Sizing / dimensions / fit
Stack height: 10.5 mm
Q-factor: +53 mm
Contact surface: 755 mm²
Release tension: adjustable
Riding use / terrain
Riding style: Road cycling
Best terrain: Sealed roads, training rides, bunch rides, racing, indoor trainer sessions, and general road mileage

For NZ riders, this suits anyone doing road kilometres and wanting cleaner training data without overcomplicating the bike setup
FAQ section
What is the difference between Favero Assioma PRO RL-1 and RL-2?
The RL-1 is single-sided, with the power sensor in the left pedal only. It calculates total power by doubling left-leg output. The RL-2 is dual-sided, with power sensors in both pedals, and provides L/R balance insights.
Are Assioma PRO RL pedals compatible with Look Keo cleats?
Yes. Both PRO RL models are 100% compatible with Look Keo, and also lists compatibility with Look Keo Grip and Favero’s own Look-compatible cleats.
Is RL-1 enough for training?
For many riders, yes. RL-1 still gives you power and cadence data, plus several advanced metrics, and is usually enough for pacing, structured training, and general performance tracking. What you give up is full dual-sided measurement and L/R balance from both pedals. The first part is an inference; the sensor and metric differences come from Favero’s published specs.
Can I upgrade the RL-1 to RL-2 later?
Yes. Favero states that an upgrade option to PRO RL-2 is always available for the RL-1.
How accurate are Favero Assioma PRO RL pedals?
Favero states ±1% accuracy for both models.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 160 hours per charge.
Do Assioma PRO RL pedals connect to Garmin, Wahoo, Zwift and training apps?
They use ANT+ and Bluetooth, so they are designed to work with a wide range of bike computers and training apps that support those standards. Favero also states support for up to 3 simultaneous BLE connections.
Customer Review:
Favero Assioma PRO RL (Look Compatible) Power Meter Pedals In-Depth Review
Now two years after Favero started their Pro lineup of power meters, they’ve completed the cleat type rollout, by announcing their Assioma Pro RL power meter pedal, with Look-compatible cleats. This follows the PRO MX (off-road SPD) in 2024, then the PRO RS (road Shimano SPD-SL) in 2025, and now the PRO RL (Look-compatible) here in 2026.
All three pedals share an identical power meter spindle internally, and you can swap pedal body types between the different spindles. Meaning, you can move the internal spindle pretty easily from an RL/RS pedal body for road usage in the summer, to being an SPD pedal for winter off-road usage. As always with pedal spindle swaps, the procedure is not really designed for daily switching, but for infrequent switching.
