The ultra-light rims are constructed using high-tensile strength carbon fiber at critical stress points, enhancing stiffness and power transfer. Our unique lay-up process ensures consistent rim wall thickness and increased layering, resulting in a lighter yet stronger wheel.

Hub Technology:

The VALAR TH36G Wheelset features our custom CNC machined TH01 hub with smooth-spinning ceramic bearings. The hub's internal driver system, similar to the renowned DT Swiss star ratchet system, provides immediate engagement and requires minimal maintenance. Constructed for outstanding durability, the TH01 hub delivers quick engagement even under high load during race conditions. Routine maintenance is simple and doesn't require specialized tools. High-quality 6pcs TPI ceramic bearings contribute to faster rolling speeds and effortless cruising.  

Spokes and Nipples:

Valar TH series wheelsets utilize Pillar PSR TB2015 triple butted spokes, made from T302+ stainless steel and manufactured with Pillar's Cold Drawn Technology. These spokes offer four times the strength of standard spokes, while weighing in at a mere 4.3g (260mm). Combined with Pillar TG Aluminum Nipples, designed for maximum grip without adhesives, these wheels ensure consistent spoke tension even under demanding riding conditions. The TG nipple's unique design locks itself to the spoke threads as tension increases.  

Tubeless Compatibility:

All OROME VALAR wheels are tubeless compatible, featuring bead seat retention, reinforced carbon hooks, and a 23mm internal rim bed. This wider rim width ensures compatibility with a broad range of tubeless tires from most manufacturers. For those not yet ready for tubeless, all VALAR wheels are also compatible with traditional clincher tires and inner tubes.
