Can one bike replace your Gravel and Road Bike?
Posted by Trevor Barrett on
That’s the question our customer Benny, set out to answer when he built his Elves Mori Aerox.
Like a lot of riders, Benny wanted:
- a gravel bike that didn’t beat him up on long rides
- something that still felt quick and efficient on sealed roads
- one bike that could realistically do both by swapping wheelsets
After just over 100km across gravel and tarmac, his verdict was pretty clear.
“The geometry is incredibly comfortable and easy to sustain on longer rides… The plan is to eventually replace my road bike altogether.”
That’s not something riders say lightly.
Why the Elves Mori Aerox works as a “One-Bike” solution
The Mori Aerox carbon gravel frameset sits in a sweet spot that a lot of bikes miss.
It’s:
- Comfortable enough for long gravel days
- Efficient enough that it doesn’t feel sluggish on the road
- Designed to handle multiple wheelsets, not just tolerate them
- That balance is what makes it a genuine road-plus-gravel option — not a compromise bike that’s average at everything.
Custom build, not off-the-shelf guesswork
Benny went with a custom colour (Litchi White) and had the build planned properly from the start.
“Huge thanks to Trev for guiding me through the whole process… always answering my questions and keeping me updated every step of the way.”
That matters more than people think — especially if you’re aiming for one bike to do multiple jobs.
Wheel clearance, geometry, future upgrades… those decisions are much easier when someone’s already built and ridden these frames.
Who the Mori Aerox is for (and who it’s not)
This frame makes sense if you:
- want one bike to cover gravel + road
- value comfort over ultra-aggressive race geometry
- plan to run multiple wheelsets
- want a carbon gravel frame that doesn’t feel dead on tarmac
It’s probably not for you if:
- you only ride short, punchy gravel races
- you want maximum tyre clearance for ultra-rough bikepacking
- you’re after a pure aero road race bike
Trev's final word
Benny’s experience sums it up well:
- The Elves Mori Aerox isn’t about chasing trends — it’s about building a bike that actually fits how you ride.
- If you’re thinking about a gravel bike that could replace your road bike, this frameset is well worth a look.
